Liturgical Ministers Information
Members of Newman Catholic Campus Ministry are invited to be an active part of the campus liturgies. Please consider one of these ministries:
Lectors - Proclaim the Word of God by reading the 1st or 2nd reading during Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers - Distribute Holy Communion during Mass.There will be Lector & Eucharistic Ministry Training once per
quarter. If you are interested in Liturgical Ministry, please contact Emily Devereaux.
Altar Servers - During Mass you will assist the Priest in different liturgical duties such as carrying the cross and setting the altar. Two altar servers are needed at each Sunday Mass! Please contact Emily Devereaux to sign up!
Music Ministry - Members of our Music Ministry sing in the choir or play an instrument for one of our Masses. Practices will be Wednesday evenings at 6pm and Sundays at 5:30pm. Contact Lizzie Mitchell for more information.
Mass times are designed with the college student’s schedule in mind, and everyone is highly encouraged to participate as Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Gift Bearers and/or Musicians.
Recruitment and training sessions are usually held at the beginning of each quarter and later if needed.
